EEPROM, namely Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory, is a non-volatile memory. It can store digital information such as system configurations. Based on floating-gate transistors, it realizes data writing, erasing and reading by means of electrical signals, representing data by changing the threshold voltage. It features non-volatility, the ability to be reprogrammed and erased repeatedly, as well as flexible storage capacity and organization methods. It is applied in scenarios such as storing device and user information in consumer electronics, storing parameters in industrial control, and storing control and vehicle information in automotive electronics.
